In Les Epesses to the north west of Pays de la Loire, is a great theme park dedicated to French history. France is the country of the theme parks so having one devoted to its history was almost a duty. In this park, thought and designed for people's entertainment and amusement, visitors can travel from the Roman period -with gladiator's exhibitions- to an early XXth century town. Viking invasions, lifestyle in the Middle Ages or XVIIth and XVIIIth century town life can also be enjoyed. Assorted theatralisations are enacted among which stand out the siege of a "donjon", knights fighting and musketeers dueling.
Although this park is intended for recreational purposes, visitors gain a first hand immersion in the history of France.
