Thaleia is a group with basis in Tarragona whose aim is to let the general pubic see aspects of ancient Roman life such as childhood, marriage, death, divorce, music or medicine, in a dynamic and amusing manner.
It is worth mentioning that Thaleia is the first group that performs musical re-enactment in Catalonia and Spain, an aspect barely found among re-enactment groups. The group takes the name of one of three servants who looked after goddess Venus and the Muses. Thaleia was the innocent, ardent and eager of life. Her friendliness and sweetness inspired wisdom, charm and good manners in humans.
This group has participated in the main festivals and events held in Catalonia (Tarraco Viva, Roman Festival of Iesso), Spain (Roman Festival of Andelos) and Europe (Mercato della Centuriazione Romana, Convegno Internacionale de Archeologia Sperimentale).
Thaleia acts out amusing dialogued performances using self-made scripts. The two most successful ones are a divorce in the Roman world and the step from childhood to adult age.
