Nemesis is a cooperative founded in Tarragona in 1999 whose aim is to spread and make archaeology and culture known. Nemesis attended Tarraco Viva Festival's first edition staging aspects of daily life in Roman times such as weddings, funeral rituals, public and private religion or magic and superstition.

Lately, the group has specialised in religious rituals coming from the oriental border of the Roman Empire (Egypt and Partia). Oriental religions gained popularity among all strata of Roman society. They proved more intimate in nature compared to Greek or Roman mythology and promised afterlife and salvation at a time Romans had increasingly become disappointed by their God's excessively passionate behaviours. Egyptian Isis was amongst the most worshiped Goddesses all over the Empire. Trade between cities and legions transfers allowed for her to be adored even in far Londinium -current London-. Nemesis re-enactment performance focuses on several daily rituals and processions devoted to Isis (opening the Temple doors, cleaning the Goddess' Statue or illustrating differences between Priests and Priestesses). Isis was believed to be Mistress of the Sea and protector of sailors and anglers. With the beginning of the navigation season she was taken out in the so-called "Navigium Isidis" procession. Just like it is tradition to do with Virgin Carme, Catalan sailor's current patron saint!

Apart from this, Nemesis carries out activities habitual in an archaeology enterprise (excavations, visits and workshops, courses and archaeological sites museumisation).
