Blanes Manaies Association is a group of traditional Easter Roman soldiers. The group was set up in 2000, and from the very beginning, great emphasis was made in the use of highly real costumes
The group has evolved over the years and now there are two clearly distinguished sections. One is strictly devoted to Easter Processions, while the other is fully dedicated to historical re-enactment.
The historical re-enactment section started off as Legió V Second Cohort, but they are now in a process of becoming an independent entity. This group focuses on the period comprising the Augusta era (end of 1st century BC) to 2nd century AC.
The group has taken part in historical re-enactment festivals in Catalonia (such as Triumvirat Mediterrani in l'Escala) and in Spain
